Sonterra Board of Directors Meeting - April 12, 2004

 

The following items were presented for vote and passed and where necessary contracts were signed. 

 

1.Curb addresses.  Stenciling will begin as soon as weather permits starting with the smaller neighborhoods first.  The address stencil will be white reflective letters on a black background.  The need for this is apparent when an EMS or Fire and/or Police have to find an address.  This is especially true at night.  Curbs in front of empty lots will also receive the address stencil. Keep in mind that there are over 1300 homes not counting the empty lots.

 

2.Street repairs will continue throughout the next few months to ensure that more catastrophic damage does not occur in the future by neglect in the present.  An engineering firm did an analysis of our concrete streets and the following streets were found to be in the poor-to-fair category:

 

3.Bexar Towing has signed a contract with the POA.  Signs will be put up on the gates with the appropriate information.  No resident cars will be allowed to be parked on the street and all resdient cars must have a resident sticker. Licenses of parked cars will be checked with DPS to make sure that they do belong in your neighborhood.

 

4.All neighborhood questions should be funneled through your subdivision representative.  A list of these is found on this website.

 

5. Approval of the expenditure for the laser tags to be used at the Main Gate (Sonterra Blvd at Stone Oak) has been approved.  The weekends in May will be used to install the decals at the POA parking lot on Huebner near Blanco.  You must have a auto registration and driver's license to have these put on.  The charge is $10/car.  The Club will also have a laser gate and a $10 fee for it.  However, residents who are members of the club will only pay $10 not $20.  All residents who use the Main Gate will be effected.  Those without a decal will have to go through the Visitors side of the Main Gate.  In addition all persons eligible to purchase a decal will have to have a Sonterra sticker on their car.  No sticker, no decal.  Application for stickers and the stickers will also be installed at the time of receiving your decal. If you have purchased a new car and do not have a sticker for it now is the time to get it at the POA office or if you plan to use the Main Gate you can get the sticker with the decal.

 

6.New "moonlighting" is now working on the Huebner esplanade near the Midlands entrance.  This is an experimental project to see if we can additional lighting to our area. Let the POA know what you think.

 

7.During March there was only one reported theft and this was from a garage in the Midlands. Vandalism occurred in the Villas (paint balls), a broken vehicle window in the Midlands, shave cream in the Woods and toilet paper in the Woods.In the case of the first two incidents suspects are being dealt with. Soliciting occurred in the Oaks, Midlands, Meadows, and Fairways.
